The Diabetes Epidemic – 438 Million May Suffer From Diabetes By 2030

Yes folks, it’s true.  Diabetes certainly is an epidemic!  It’s estimated that as many as 438 million people may suffer from diabetes by the year 2030.  If you want to get an idea of how many people that actually is, then consider this – it’s more than the populations of the US and the UK combined!

The sad truth is that diabetes is almost 100% preventable. The leading cause of Type 2 diabetes is lifestyle.  This means that Type 2 diabetes is a disease that you do not have to ever get.  It’s one of the very few (if only) diseases that you can actually choose not to get.  If you eat right, exercise, and control the stress in your life, chances are you will never get Type 2 diabetes.

If you are like me and you choose to ignore your doctor’s advice, consume copious amounts of sugar and foods loaded with high fructose corn syrup and other nasty ingredients, then you will end up just like me- diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes at age 40.  DO NOT let this happen to you!  No matter what age you are, you must start eating right and exercising NOW.  I can’t stress how important this is.

Take a look at this infographic below.  These statistics should shock you.
